code of conduct: athletes

Why this is so important to us

At Fearless Track Club, we want every athlete to grow in character, confidence, leadership, and effort. That's why our Core Values and Code of conduct is LEADER. All athletes are expected to carry themselves in a way that reflects our values.

L — Lead by Example

Show leadership through your attitude, effort, and actions. Be someone your teammates can look up to on and off the track.

E — Encourage Others

Support your teammates, cheer others on, and help create a positive environment. We rise together.

A — Act with Respect

Respect coaches, teammates, parents, opponents, volunteers, and officials at all times. Listen well and respond with maturity.

D — Display Sportsmanship

Win with humility. Lose with character. No trash talk, arguing, disrespectful behavior, or negative attitudes at practices or events.

E — Exercise Self-Control

Use appropriate language, manage your emotions, and make wise choices. Fighting, bullying, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

R — Reach for Excellence

Come ready to work hard, learn, improve, and give your best effort. Honor the process and take pride in doing hard things.

CODE OF CONDUCT: parents & Community

We welcome parents, guardians, family members, and visitors as an important part of the Fearless Track Club community. We ask that all adults help us create a safe, encouraging, and uplifting environment for every child.

As a parent or supporter of Fearless Track Club, you agree to:

  • treat coaches, athletes, officials, volunteers, and other families with kindness and respect
  • model positive behavior and self-control at practices, meets, and team events
  • support the mission, standards, and athlete code of conduct of Fearless Track Club
  • encourage all athletes, not just your own child
  • address concerns through the proper communication process, not in the heat of the moment
  • allow coaches and staff to coach, correct, and lead the program
  • avoid sideline drama, gossip, confrontation, or negative talk that harms team culture
  • respect the privacy and dignity of athletes, families, and staff
  • ensure your child arrives prepared, on time, and ready to participate
  • contribute to a positive, family-friendly atmosphere that reflects the values of Fearless Track Club

Parent and Spectator Expectations

For the protection of the program and the experience of every child, the following behaviors are not permitted:

  • yelling at athletes, coaches, officials, or other spectators
  • using abusive, threatening, or inappropriate language
  • coaching from the sidelines in a way that disrupts instruction
  • bullying, intimidation, or creating division within the program
  • inappropriate social media behavior involving the club, athletes, coaches, or families
  • the use of alcohol, illegal substances, or any conduct that creates an unsafe environment at team events

Communication Commitment

If concerns arise, parents are expected to communicate respectfully and through the appropriate channels. We want healthy communication, but we also want to protect the culture and leadership of the program.

Our Standard

At Fearless Track Club, we are building more than runners. We are building strong, courageous, respectful young people. We ask every parent and supporter to help us protect that mission.

Failure to follow this code of conduct may result in a warning, restricted attendance at team events, suspension from participation, or removal from the program.
